Help To Those Hit By Slave Lake Fires

pcit Reaches Out a Helping Hand to Disaster-struck Slave Lake Business Owners

Canada has watched in horror as the flames of a monumental fire have devastated 40 percent of Slave Lake. Darren Boyer, President of pcit, was deeply moved when he said, “We are deeply saddened by the thoughts of what the home owners and business owners have had to endure from the devastating Slave Lake fire.  Some of those who have lost their homes and possibly their businesses were our friends and clients.  Our thoughts are with them.”

Small to Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs) need to act now to ensure that they do not encounter a similar disaster. Peace Region business owners should take care to have their own Disaster Recovery plan in place.  A secure backup system that backs up data onsite and sends company data  to a remote facility is also a must have to be fully protected. pcit has Disaster Recovery Plan templates and Backup System Best Practice Checklists that are available to our clients free of charge.  This Disaster Recovery Plan template has been professionally developed to assist an organization in getting back on its feet quickly after a disaster.  Good planning, the right technology and the right IT support process can help any organization become operational in days versus weeks with zero data loss in the face of a disaster.  Planning for the future now saves time, money and stress.

If there are any businesses located in the Slave Lake area that need help, pcit is ready to provide experienced computer support. The company’s services will be offered free of charge, both onsite and remotely, for a few days to help those in need get back on their feet once the rebuilding process begins.
