PCIT keeps local Peace River business in business after theft

February has been a very exciting month for everyone at our office for a number of reasons.  One event that got the adrenaline moving was when a client of ours recently experienced a large theft of their computers.  Fortunately there was a minor interruption to operations as all the company’s data was stored in a central location.  There was no loss of email, accounting records, or company information even though almost all the computers were taken.  If you’re not confident your company network and data are in alignment with best practices and managed in a similar way now is a good time to make sure there is zero business risk in the event of theft or disaster.

Darren visits leading IT Peer Group in Philadelphia

I returned from a trip to Philadelphia where 25 like minded business owners met to discuss how we can better serve our customer’s.  There were only two companies from western Canada represented in this group and it was exciting to be from so far away location wise but close in perspective to what other organizations are doing to help their customers manage technology.  Our metrics for service are good but we are hoping to get better.  We think by the end of the year 100% of our support requests will have a response of a qualified support person working on their concern within 60 minutes.  Right now we are very close to that number.

New technology and how they help Northern Alberta business

We are continuing to improve our existing technology offerings and roll out support of new solutions.  One recent development has been the release of Microsoft Small Business Server 2011.  Small Business Server has had a proven ROI of 200+% since the release of the 2003 edition for organizations with 5 – 75 user’s.  It is a core offering and Dennis Aberson, Network Engineer, with PCIT estimates he has completed over 100 installations since the products release.  The latest version takes full advantage of the improvements in SharePoint and Exchange.  If your organization hasn’t reviewed or taken advantage of how SharePoint can transform the way an office and teams can work together give us a call and ask to see a demo of this amazing product.

Our team can help with your Grande Prairie IT support.  Give us a call today and our team will help you.
